For Assistant Engineer(Electrical/Civil/IT/Mechanical) and Junior Engineer(Electrical/Civil/Fire & Safety/Control & Instrumentation/Communication) - The candidate must hold four years’ Full-Time Graduation Degree in Engineering as a regular student with 60% marks (For SC/ST/PWD(PH) candidates and Nigams’ in-service employees, 40% marks) or AMIE with 50% marks relevant trade or equivalent from a University/Institution.

Selection Process will be based on Computer-Based Written competitive Exam. The Question Paper Shall be in Two Parts and consist of Multiple objective type Questions and total time duration will be 2 hrs.
For Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer-I - Part A - 60% Weightage (standard and syllabus of the examination will be of the level of Degree in Engineering in the respective discipline - See in Notification) and Part B - 40% Weightage (Reasoning, GK, Maths, Hindi and English).
For Junior Chemist - Part A - 60% Weightage (standard and syllabus of the examination will be of the level of Post Graduation in Chemistry/ Graduation Degree in Chemical Engineering - See in Notification) and Part B - 40% Weightage (Reasoning, GK, Maths, Hindi and English).
For Informatics Assistant - The competitive exam for the post of Informatics Assistant shall be conducted in two Phases as follows :
Phase - I In the Phase-I, computer-based “written competitive exam” shall be conducted through Online mode and Question Paper shall be in two parts of total two(2) hours’ duration, consisting of Objective Type Questions (Multiple Choice Questions - MCQ) only.
Part A - 60% weightage (standard and syllabus of the examination will be from the Computer Studies - See in Notification) and Part B - 40% Weightage (Reasoning, GK, Maths, Hindi and English).
Phase – II Qualifying Typing Speed Test on Computer :
(a) Hindi Typing - 15 Minutes (b) English Typing - 15 Minutes
(i) Speed Test in Hindi & English languages on Computer machine shall be taken of only those candidates who have qualified the Phase-I of the examination. The number of candidates to be admitted to the Phase-II of the examination (Qualifying Typing Speed Test) shall be about three times of the advertised vacancies (category-wise).
(ii) No marks shall be given in Qualifying Typing Speed Test and Merit list will be prepared only on the basis marks obtained in the Phase-I of the examination, but only those candidates who qualify the Typing Speed Test shall be eligible for inclusion in the Merit list.
The Question Paper (except “Hindi General” and “English General” section) shall be ‘bilingual’ i.e. both in English & Hindi.
The Question Paper will be in bilingual Language and there will be negative marking for each wrong Questions.
There will be no Interview. Merit List will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Examination.

How to Apply - 1) Candidates need to visit the Official Website of RVUNL - http://energy.rajasthan.gov.in/rvunl .
2) Candidates will have to go to one of the above websites and click on the option "APPLY ONLINE" which will open a new screen.
3) To register application, •choose the tab "CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION" and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email and SMS indicating the Provisional Registration Number and Password will also be sent.
4) In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he/she can save the data already entered by choosing "SAVE AND NEXT" tab. Prior to submission of the online application, candidates are advised to use the "SAVE AND NEXT" facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required.
5) Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the "FINAL SUBMIT" button.
6) The Name of the candidate or his /her Father/ Husband, etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets/Identity proof.
7) Validate details and save application by clicking the "Validate your details" and "SAVE AND NEXT" button.
8) Candidates can proceed to upload Photo and Signature as per the specifications are given in the Notification.
9) Candidates can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form.
10) Candidates are required to take a printout of the "E-Receipt" and "Online Application Form".
