Educational Qualification

The candidate must have a first class engineering graduation from a reputed institute in the relative field for the post of Assistant Safety Engineer.

The Language translator and signal decoder must have additional Diploma in a Foreign language with the Tibetan language with English as a compulsory subject.

EXPERIENCE: A two years post qualification experience is required with handling different aspects of the industrial safety in a factory, dock ship or any other technical organization.

Selection Process

The candidates will be called for interview based on the qualification, experience and skill set. However, in case the number of application received is large, the Commission may use shortlisting criteria which may range from increasing of qualifying criteria to holding a recruitment test. The candidates are advised to frequently check the official website for latest update.

Relaxation in age and other criteria is applicable as permitted by govt of India.

IMPORTANT

(i) The category-wise minimum level of suitability in interviews, irrespective of whether the selection is made only by interview or by Recruitment Test followed by an interview will be UR-50 marks, OBC-45 marks, SC/ST/PH-40 marks, out of the total marks of the interview being 100. 

(ii) In cases where the selection is made by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by an interview, the candidate will have to achieve a minimum level of suitability in their respective category at both stages i.e. ‘Recruitment Test’ as well as ‘Interview’. The minimum level of suitability in case of RT shall be decided by the Commission on the case to case basis.

How to apply - 1) The candidates need to visit official website http://www.upsconline.nic.in  and proceed to ORA section.

2) Upon registration of the personal information, sign and photo have to be uploaded.

3) Once done, the candidates need to upload all supporting documents onto the website and make payment.

4) The last date to apply is 16.03.2018.

The candidates need not send the printed application by hand or by post. Only they need to bring the printout with them.
