Name of the Post Essential Desirable Experience
Assistant Engineer (NQA) Electrical Degree in Engineering in the discipline of Electrical/ Electronics Engineering. Experience in Computer operation for the purpose of preparation Technical reports Technical Briefs etc.

Two years practical experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control / Production / Manufacturing and testing of Engineering Equipments including knowledge of various standards and their interpretation.

NOTE-I: The qualifications are relaxable at Union Public Service Commission discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

NOTE-II: The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisites experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved.

Assistant Engineer (NQA) Mechanical Degree in Engineering in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University. Experience in Computer operation for the purpose of preparation Technical reports Technical Briefs etc.

Two years practical experience in either of the fields of Quality Assurance/Quality Control/Production /Manufacturing and testing of Engineering Equipments including knowledge of various standards and their interpretation.

(i) Degree in Architecture of a recognized University or Institution or equivalent i.e. Associate membership of the Indian Institute of Architect (IIA) by examination.

(iii) Registered with the council of Architecture.

Principal Design Officer (Electrical)

(i) Degree in Electrical/Electronics/ Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent*1

(ii) 10 years of practical experience in design/installation/ construction of ships. *The interpretation of ‘EQUIVALENT’ here means any Technical Institution recognised by AICTE/UGC and not to be construed as Educational Qualification.

Refrigeration Engineer Degree in Electrical /Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University. -

One Year’s practical experience in the maintenance and handling of medical laboratory equipment and Refrigeration plants.

NOTE: The qualifications are relaxable at Union Public Service Commission discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Deputy Director (Safety) (Civil)

Degree in Civil Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent.

NOTE: The word “Equivalent” means pass in Section A and Section B of AMIE of the Institution of Engineers (India) in relevant branch of Engineering i.e. Civil Engineering.

Liable to serve anywhere in India.

Five years experience in the design and construction of the building and other structures.

NOTE: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Additional Assistant Director (Safety) (Mechanical)

Degree in Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent.

NOTE: The words equivalent means pass in Section ‘A’ and Section ‘B’ of AMIE of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Mechanical Branch of Engineering.

Experience in planning, organizing and coordinating of research, education and training activities pertaining to industrial/dock safety.

Two years experience in an Engineering workshop or in docks/shipyard.

NOTE-1: Engineering workshop is “a small establishment which undertakes repairs, alterations and manufacturing activity or light engineering works etc”.

NOTE-II: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

NOTE-III: The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisites experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved.

Deputy Director of Mines Safety (Electrical)

Degree in Electrical Engineering of a recognized University/Institution OR pass in Section A and B of the Associate Membership examination in Electrical Engineering Branch from the Institution of Engineers (India).

Post-Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.

Ten years’ professional experience in generation, transmission or distribution of electricity or maintenance of electrical equipment (including at least two years experience in Electrical Engineering in direct relation to plant and equipment used in mining).

NOTE-I: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

NOTE-II: The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisites experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved.

Deputy Director of Mines Safety (Mining)

(i) Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution OR pass in Section A and B of the Associate Membership examination in Mining Engineering Branch from the Institution of Engineers (India)incorporated by the Royal Charter 1935.

(ii) First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate granted under the Coal Mines Regulations,2017 (Unrestricted) or under the Metalliferous Mines regulations, 1961 (Unrestricted) and

(iii) Ten years experience in Mining in large and mechanized underground Mines.

NOTE-I: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Post-Graduate Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution. -

Selection Process

Selection will be done on the basis of the performance in the Interview. Candidates shortlisted for interview on the basis of the information provided in the online applications submitted by them will be required to send self-attested copies of documents/relevant certificates in support of the claims made in the application as and when demanded by the Commission.

Documents/ certificates to be produced at the time of interview. The printout of the online application and the following Original Documents/ Certificates along with self-attested copies and other items specified in the Summon Letter for interview are to be produced at the time of the interview,

The category-wise minimum level of suitability in interviews, irrespective of whether the selection is made only by interview or by Recruitment Test followed by the interview, will be UR-50 marks, OBC-45 marks, SC/ST/PH-40 marks, out of the total marks of the interview being 100.
