UPSC RecruitmentUPSC Recruitment 2018 or The Union Public Service Commission has announced a notification for the posts of Engineer's in various departments like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. The total of 581 posts is declared by the Union Service Commission. The details of the Online exam is given in Examination Notice No.01/2019-ENGG. The last date to apply for the posts is 22 October 2018.

यूपीएससी भर्ती 2018 या संघ लोक सेवा आयोग ने सिविल इंजीनियरिंग, मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग, इलेक्ट्रिकल इंजीनियरिंग, और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और दूरसंचार इंजीनियरिंग जैसे विभिन्न विभागों में अभियंता के पदों के लिए अधिसूचना की घोषणा की है। केंद्रीय सेवा आयोग द्वारा 581 पदों की कुल घोषणा की गई है। ऑनलाइन परीक्षा का विवरण परीक्षा नोटिस संख्या 01/201 9-ईएनजीजी में दिया गया है। पदों के लिए आवेदन करने की आखिरी तारीख 22 अक्टूबर 2018 है।

Educational Qualification

The Candidates interested in the posts must possess the following qualifications required for the posts as:-

  • The Candidates can obtain a degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.
  • And passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India).
  • They must obtain a degree/diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution.
  • They Should have passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India).

Selection Process

The Selection process for the posts is described as:-

  • Stage-I: Engineering Services (Preliminary/Stage-I) Examination (Objective Type Papers) for the selection of candidates for the Stage-II: Engineering Services (Main/Stage-II) Examination.
  • Stage-II: Engineering Services (Main/Stage-II) Examination (Conventional Type Papers).
  • Stage-III: Personality Test.

Stage-1:- Examination will consist of two objective type (multiple choices) questions papers and carrying a maximum of 500 marks (Paper 1 – 200 Marks & Paper II – 300 Marks). There is four alternative for the answers to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-third (1/3rd) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty. The Commission will draw a list of candidates to be qualified for Engineering Services (Main/Stage-II) Examination based on the criterion of minimum qualifying marks in General Studies and Engineering Aptitude Paper (Paper-I) and Engineering Discipline specific paper (Paper-II) of Preliminary/Stage-I Examination.

The Examination shall comprise of two papers for each discipline:-

Stage-II(Main/Stage-II) Examination:- The Examination shall comprise of two papers. The Engineering Services (Main/stage-II) Examination will consist of two conventional type papers in Engineering Discipline specific with duration of three hours and maximum marks of 600 (300 Marks in each paper).

Stage-III(Personality Test):- The Personality Test will carry 200 marks (with no minimum qualifying marks).

How to apply

Application fee:- Rs.200/- for the Unreserved Candidates. And can be paid through Online or Offline Mode. They can either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India.

Note:- Applicants who opt for "Pay by cash" mode should print the system generated Pay-in-slip during Part-II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only. "Pay by cash" mode option will be deactivated at 11.59 PM of 21.10.2018 i.e. one day before the closing date.

Steps to apply Online are:-

1. Candidates are required to apply Online using the Official Link of the Website:http://www.upsc/. The applicants are advised to submit the only single application.

2. Click on the "One Time Registration" or Click on Login menu.

3. Click on to the Login and you will be redirected to the Login page i.e. personal information, contact information & educational qualification, service details and uploading of documents etc.

4. When Submitting these details. Candidates have to upload the images of recent photograph and signature.

5. Size of the Passport Size photograph and signature must be between 10kB to 20kB in *.jpeg or *.jpg only.

6. After that, Click on Show Jobs Option. A list of posts will be shown on the Screen. U want to Select the posts and the Click on apply online.

7. Select an Option of Choose Exam Center Location. The Examination will be held at different centers located in Different Locations of Areas. Select any one of them.

8. Candidate should read the Instructions and tick on the "I Agree" Button.

9. Finally, click on “SUBMIT” button.

10. Pay Your Application fee by Online mode.

11. On successful submission of the online application, a window will open with a link to print an application form.

12. Candidates can check the fee status by clicking on the Print Application Button in the submitted Applications menu in your account.
