UP Police Constable Exam Review 18th and 19th June

UP PoliceUttar Pradesh UP Police Department is conducting exams for the post of Constable across various centres in India.

About- UP Police Exam notification is out with 41,520 vacancies for the aspirants. The set minimum age to appear in this exam is 22 for male candidates and 25 for female candidates. The students found this notification very useful as it was a golden opportunity for them to achieve their dreams.

For the preparation of any competitive exam, the most important thing to go through is to check the previous year paper pattern and analysis. This provides complete strategy and the questions coming from the difficult section as well as easy level. The Previous year review provides confidence and time management.

So here I provide a complete analysis of UP Police exam conducted on 18th and 19th June shift-I as well as shift-II.

After talking to the students we get mixed reactions from students for the paper. For some, it was bit difficult and bit easy for someones.

The paper consists of 150 questions 2 marks each. The questions were of Multiple Choice Type(MCQs). The students will be awarded +2 for correct answer and 0.5 will be deducted for the wrong answer. The duration of the test was 2 Hours. Total marks of the tet are 300. The test was conducted in online mode.

General Knowledge-

In UP Police Constable Exam 2018, Questions from History and Static Gk under GK Section were asked predominantly. This is the most important and ranks deciding section of the exam. The section consists of bit easy i.e. Moderate level questions and this year the questions were easy from the previous year statistics. This section would be a bit scoring this year as compared to the previous ones.

Mental Aptitude, IQ & Reasoning Ability-

In UP Police Constable Exam 2018, the section consists of the maximum no. of questions. The questions were of moderate level. Most numbers of questions were asked from Odd one out section whether it be the figure based, the number based or words related. Topics like Blood Relation, Series, Venn Diagram and Statements and Conclusions bagged the equivalent number of questions. Students found the questions approachable.

Numerical & Mental Ability-

In UP Police Constable Exam 2018, Quantitative Aptitude was of Easy-Moderate Level. Most of the questions were asked from Simple Interest, Compound Interest & Profit/Loss.

General Hindi-

UP Police Constable Exam 2018, Hindi language section was of easy to moderate level. There was 1 Reading Comprehension with 5 questions based on it. Total 37 questions were asked and the questions were too easy to attempt. Students found it scoring section.

Tips to prepare -

  • Syllabus-Go through the official syllabus provided by the authority. Read the syllabus twice or thrice it will tell you the sections to prepare for. The syllabus will give a rough idea of the questions appearing in the exam.
  • Books- The aspirant should prefer the good books. It is advisable that one should solve good book 5 times rather solving 10 low-grade books.
  • Test Series- If you want to achieve your goal you must have test series. As the test is conducted in online mode so you must be feasible in using computer gadgets. It is advisable to get the problems rectified before the exam. The test series gives an idea of the computer temptation and make you feel like the real exam.
  • Revision- This is the most important thing you need to go through as without revision you can never achieve your goal.
  • Newspaper- This is the most common and blunder mistake students commit. As the test consists of general Knowlege section so you must read the newspaper to get acquaintance with the latest updates of the country.
  •  Previous paper and analysis- The student must solve the previous year questions as it provides the rough idea about the marks you are going to get in the finals. Reading about the analysis is the second most important thing you need to do. It provides the rough idea of the sections to dominate over the other.
  • Practice, Practice and Practice.
