SBI-State Bank of India a public Sector Bank announced a notification for the posts of Probationary Officers in their Banks in different parts of India. Bank announced this notification on April 21, 2018. Full details of the posts are given by the bank in the advertisement no.(ADVERTISEMENT NO: CRPD/ PO/ 2018-19/ 01).Total 2000 posts are declared by the Bank. All the posts are declared for the all category type candidates.Interested Candidates can apply for the posts is by Online mode only they must note down the dates April 21, 2018, to May 13, 2018.

Educational Qualification

Interested Candidates must have a graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Also, Candidates are in final Year of a degree in any subject are eligible to apply for the posts but the condition is if they qualified the written exam and called for an interview then they have to show the proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.08.2018.

Selection Process

Selection for the posts is Divided into three Phase process:-

Phase 1:-Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Test for 100 marks will be conducted online. The test will have 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

This preliminary Exam consists of 100 questions with 1-hour time duration.

Phase 2:-Main Examination: Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive test by typing on the computer. Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after completion of the Objective Test.

i).Objective Test:-The objective test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 Sections for total 200 marks.

The objective test contains 155 questions of 200 marks with 3 hours time duration of the Exam.

ii).Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with two questions for 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).

Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Main Examination.

Phase 3:-Group Exercises (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks):-Marks secured by the candidates in the Main Examination (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Exercises & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Main Examination and Group Exercises & Interview out of 100.

The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for preparing the final merit list for selection. Only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II), both in Objective Test and Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in GE & Interview (Phase-III) for preparing the final merit list. The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately.

Important Note:-The examination will be conducted online in venues across many centers in India. Allotment of exam Centers is always in Candidates favor, the candidates are having to give the right to choose the exam center. 

How to apply

Application fee:- Rs.100/- for SC/ST/PWD and Rs.600/- for General, OBC candidates. Application fee can be paid through Online Mode through Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets

Steps to apply for the posts are given below:-

1. Interested Candidates, please visit the official website to apply for the post of SBI:- http://ibps.sifyitest.com/sbipoapr18/.

2.There Click on the New Registration Tab.

3.After that, a new page is opened for the fresh registration. On that page, Candidate should enter their personal details like First name, Last name, age etc.Once the application is filled in completely, candidates should submit the data.

4. A provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidates should note down the registration number and password. They can re-open the saved data using registration number and password and edit the particulars if needed. This facility will be available three times only.

5. After the complete registration, next step is to pay your application fee.The payment can be made by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen.

6.On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form will be generated; which may be printed for record.

7.After the Payment Section, the last step of the Online form is to Upload the Candidate's recent Photograph and Signature.They have a scanned (digital) image of his/ her/ their photograph and signature as per the specifications are given in Annexure-II.
