The School and mass education minister Badri Narayan Patra has declared the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Plus Two results for the science stream on Council's official website: http://orissaresults.nic.in/ around 11 am.
Despite disturbances like the boycott of the evaluation process by teachers, the result published on time, the minister said. This year 76.98 percent students have cleared the examination, he added.
Girls outperformed boys in the Plus Two Science results announced by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) here on Saturday. The overall pass percentage recorded is 76.98% while the pass percentage of girls is 78 88%and pass percentage of boys is 75.69%. Last year the pass percentage was 81.11%.
Of the total 95096 students who appeared the exam, 19,561 passed in the first division, 24,164 in the second division and 28, 968 in the third division. As many as 41 students secured more than 90%, 1030 students secured 80% and above and 4317 secured above 70%. Not a single college recorded zero results this year.
The pass percentage of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students is 70.13% and 58.78% respectively.
Nayagarh district recorded highest pass percentage of 92.23% while the lowest pass percentage is 43.43% recorded in Gajapati district.
Odisha CHSE is expected to release the results of other streams -- Arts and Commerce -- anytime soon after the release of +2 science results. The Council is yet to announce a date for the results.
Last year, CHSE Odisha declared the Class 12 science results on May 12, that is why the students are searching for the results from the beginning of the second week of May this year.
When the CHSE Plus 2 results released last year, the Mass Education minister Badri Narayan Patra said that 81.11 percent students have cleared the examination out of 90,643 students who had appeared for the science stream exam.
CHSE Class 12 Arts and Commerce results may be released in the last week of May.
