NEET-NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY ENTRANCE TEST

We all know CBSE conducts NEET every year. NEET UG exam to give admissions into MBBS and BDS courses. It is a national-level exam. All other medical and dental institutes accept NEET score to give admissions to undergraduate medical and dental courses.

NEETEvery year a no. of students appear for the exam like this year around 13 lakh students appeared for the exam. And every student is in the dilemma of the procedure of SEAT ALLOTMENT AND ADMISSIONS which is known as COUNSELLING.

The NEET counselling is conducted by MCC i.e. MEDICAL COUNSELLING COMMITTEE and various state counselling authorities. It will be conducted through online mode. Only the students who qualify i.e. scores the MINIMUM qualifying marks appear for the counselling.

MCC conducts the counselling for the 15% AIQ i.e. ALL INDIA QUOTA i.e. the seats of GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGES, Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), IP Quota seats in ESIC College and for 100% seats of DEEMED AND CENTRAL UNIVERSITY. Counselling for remaining 85% of state Quota seats and state private colleges is conducted by Respective State Counselling Authorities. Students have to register for the participation in counselling separately.

COMPLETE PROCEDURE-

1.Registration-

The primary and the basic process of counselling is REGISTRATION. It is the announcement of participation. Without registration the candidate is not allowed to sit for the online counselling. The interested and eligible students have to visit the respective official website. On the website student have to login by NEET roll no. and password after the complete registration a unique login ID and password is sent to the students to their registered mobile no. and email-ID through which further steps are taken.

2.Choice filling-

The second step is to fill the choices of colleges on the basis of performance and all India rank provided on the result. After filling up the choices students need to SAVE and SUBMIT because without saving it your choices will not be considered.

3. Allotment Result-

After few days the result will be declared by the conducting body. You will be notified with MESSAGE or EMAIL-ID which was registered previously.

4.Locking seat-

The candidate get satisfied with the result have to lock the seat and after locking you are not allowed to sit for the next round.

5.Reporting to the college-

When the seats will be allotted to the candidates, they have to report the allotted college to confirm the seat. Candidates have to pay the initial fee to confirm the seat and should complete the admission formalities. In case the candidate will reach the allotted colleges after the given time period, then the seat will be transferred automatically to the next candidate.

6.Second round-

If the candidate doesn't get satisfied with the allotted seats, he/she can proceed to the next round of counselling. Candidates those will be allotted seats in the second round of 15% All India Quota counseling are not allowed to vacant the seat. After this candidate have to report to the college as explained in point 5.

NOTE-The student should visit the official website regularly for the information and the next step of counselling.

    NEET Counselling 2018 - Documents Required

    Candidates will need to bring following documents at the time of reporting to the college after AIQ counselling of NEET 2018.

    • NEET 2018 Admit Card

    • NEET 2018 Rank Letter or AIQ Rank Letter

    • Class 10 Certificate and Marksheet (for the date of birth proof)

    • Class 12 Certificate and Marksheet

    • ID Proof

    • Eight passport size photographs

    • Provisional allotment letter generated online after allotment.

    • Community Certificate (if applicable)
