Manipur Public Service Commission or MPSC has announced job notification for the post of Manipur Health Service Grade-IV (Medical Officer) posts in the Health Department, Manipur. Total Vacancies are 247 and the last date to apply is 04-06-2018. The probation period will be of 2 years. The online application should be applied at   w.e.f. 21st May 2018 upto 12:00 midnight of 4th June 2018 after which the link will be disabled. Educational Qualification

Possession of a recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule, or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1957. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should fulfil the conditions as stipulated in sub-secion3 of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. 

Completion of compulsory rotating Internship. Possession of Registration Certificate issued by MCl/ State Medical Councils.

The candidate must be able to speak Manipuri (Meetei/ Meitei Lon) or any of the Tribal dialect of Manipur.

The candidate must be a permanent resident of Manipur provided that a candidate whose parent or any of his/her ancestors in his/her direct lineage are a permanent resident of the State, with proper documentary proof like enrolment in the electoral roll and birth certificate will also be eligible.

Selection Process

Selection will be done on the basis of Written Examination followed by the Interview.

The written Examination will be held at 01:00 p.m. of 20-06-2018 (Wednesday).

Scheme of the Examination - 

The written examination will be of 3 hours duration during which the candidates would be expected to answer 200 multiple choice questions (MCQ). Each correct answer will earn 1 mark whereas each incorrect answer will reduce the total by 1/3 mark. Weightage of question is at Annexure-I which is given in the Official Notification.

The MCQs will be to test the knowledge expected of a candidate who has an MBBS degree. The answers to the MCQ will be uploaded within a day of conclusion of the examination. Minimum qualifying marks to be called for the interview is 35%, 30% & 25% for Unreserved, OBC (M)/(MP)/(TNB) and ST/ SC candidates respectively.

In case the adequate number of candidates is not available to fill up the vacancies of a particular category, the Commission will have the discretion to reduce the qualifying marks by a maximum of 2.5% only for that category. All candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks prescribed for the category will be called for the Interview.

The Interview will be of 30 marks and candidates would be assessed by a Board constituted by the Commission with the subject expert(s). The final merit list of the candidates would be based on the total of the written and interview marks. In case more than one candidate has the same total marks then, the candidate securing higher marks in the written examination will be ranked higher. In case both the total and written marks are same, the older (in age) candidate will be ranked higher.

How to apply

Application Fees - Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 500/- for General/OBC and for Rs. 250/-for SC & ST. The fee is non- refundable and there is no fee for differently abled persons.

Modes of Payment - Online Mode: Application Fees can be paid through Online mode - Debit card, Credit Card, Netbanking, Wallets or UPI.

How to Apply - 1) Before applying for the post, candidates should register as per "ONE TIME REGISTRATION" scheme through the official website of Manipur Public Service Commission -

2) Candidates need to upload and full details before applying any post. Once the ONE TIME REGISTRATION is completed, candidates need to fill up and complete his/her PROFILE by submitting all the relevant details. This includes:

i) Upload Passport Photograph, signature etc.

ii) Add Personal Information.

iii) Add Parents Information.

iv) Add Educational Information.

v) Add Language and Physical Nature.

vi) Add Experience.

Once the above-mentioned processes are completed, only then the candidate can apply for the post.

3) Candidates who are already registered user of the portal may directly login and apply.

4) The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate. The e-Admission certificate will be made available on the MPSC website ( for downloading by the candidates from 10th June 2018. No candidate will be admitted to the Examination unless he/she holds an e-Admission Certificate issued by the Commission for the purpose.
