GGSIPU Counselling Registration Begins Today

GGSIPU-Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University counselling registration begins today i.e. 8 June 2018.

GGSIPUEvery year GGSIPU organizes counselling for the allotment of seats in a systematic way. But the students might feel perplexed and confused while participating in GGSIPU counselling. The counselling is conducted in online mode whereas the Spot counselling goes through offline mode.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, formerly Indraprastha University, is a public, professional university located in Delhi, India. Founded in 1998 it is a teaching-cum-affiliating University which affiliates 84 colleges in Delhi-NCR and has 15 schools and centres. The medium of instruction is English to meet the international language standards. The university has been graded 'A' by NAAC.

Counselling Procedure-

  • Participation

To sit for the counselling the interested candidate needs to remind the University about the one's participation. In order to tell the participation following steps are to be followed-

  1. Counselling Fee Submission-  This is the basic and the primary step. The candidate needs to deposit Rs. 1000. In order to deposit the counselling fee, registered candidates need to login by using their credentials and select the option for ‘payment of counselling fee’. Enter the details like roll number, Password and Security code given on the window and click on the ‘login’ button. After the submission of details, candidates will get the two payment option- online or offline. Choose the relevant payment option. If offline mode is chosen, a challan will be generated and fee may be deposited through cash in any branch of Indian Bank. In case of online payment mode, the candidate can make payment through net banking, debit or credit cards.
  2. Get Registered- Then next step is to register. To register candidates need to enter IPU CET roll no, Corse applied for and the visual code is given on the window. After this, the candidates need to enter the academic record and the personal details. After this, the candidate is given unique Login ID and Password.
  • Choice Filling-
  • In this step, the candidate will have to fill the course and institution choice according to their order of preference on the basis of which he/she will be allotted seat. To fill choice, the candidate will have to log in by using their credentials. The candidate is required to fill their choices according to their course and college preferences. It is advisable that a candidate should fill the maximum number of options to ensure that he/she is allotted the seat of his/her choice.
  • Seat Allotment-

Seat allotment 2018 will be done on the basis of the merit and choices filled by the candidates. Candidates can check their IPU CET 2018 seat allotment by log-in their account given during the registration. It is a must for a candidate, who will be allotted seat, to print and download provisional allotment letter. To confirm the seat, candidates will have to pay a part academic fee of 40,000 which would mean that they have accepted the seat allotted to them. The print out of admission fee receipt must be taken after the payment.

  • Freezing of Allotted Seat - In cases where candidate freezes a seat, it denotes that he/she is satisfied with the seat allotted to him/her and doesn't want to participate in the subsequent rounds. He/She will not be considered for the subsequent round.
  • Withdrawal and Fee Refund Policy -After depositing the academic fee, if the candidate wants to withdraw the allotted seat, he/she can opt for withdrawal option. After this, the candidate will only be considered for spot round. The university also provides the province of Fee refund policy i.e.

  • Spot Counselling - If the seats are still vacant, the admission authority conducts the Spot counselling in the offline mode. The interested and eligible candidates have to pay the registration fee of Rs 2000. The candidate who was admitted in any round and withdrawn the admission as per the procedure shall be eligible. The eligible candidates have to be present at the venue given by the authority with the documents given below-

  • IPU CET 2018 result

  • Class 10 mark sheet 

  • Class 12 mark sheet 

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • IPU CET 2018 registration slip

  • Admission slip
