bsf_logoThe Border Security Force (BSF Recruitment) is the primary border guarding force of India and it has announced job notification for the post of Sub Inspector (SI). Total Vacancies are 224 and the last date to apply is 24-10-2018. Applications are invited from serving BSF Male and Female Constables(GD), Head Constables (GD), ASI(GD)) and Tradesmen (who meet QRs) for selection to the post of Sub Inspector (GD) in Border Security Force.

सीमा सुरक्षा बल (बीएसएफ भर्ती) भारत की प्राथमिक सीमा सुरक्षा बल है और उसने सब इंस्पेक्टर (एसआई) के पद के लिए नौकरी अधिसूचना की घोषणा की है। कुल रिक्तियां 224 हैं और आवेदन करने की अंतिम तिथि 24-10-2018 है। सीमा सुरक्षा बल में उप निरीक्षक (जीडी) के पद के चयन के लिए बीएसएफ नर और महिला कॉन्स्टेबल (जीडी), हेड कांस्टेबल (जीडी), एएसआई (जीडी)) और व्यापारियों (जो क्यूआर से मिलते हैं) की सेवा से आवेदन आमंत्रित किए जाते हैं।

Educational Qualification

Candidate should pass the Graduation Degree from an Institute recognized by the Central Government or State Government.

Eligibility Conditions -

a) Service eligibility: They should have completed four years of service, including basic training.

b) Upper age and The upper age limit for appearing in the LDCE will be 32 years as on the closing date of Application.

c) Clean record - They should have maintained minimum Good APARs grading of last four years and should have "unblemished clean record of entire service until the issue of offer of appointment".

d) Physical Standards - The Physical standards of SI(DE) candidates are as under:-

Selection Process

The examination will consist of written and physical tests as per the standard laid down by the Staff Selection Commission, as under:-

Stage-I: Checking of service records: No marks are allotted for stage-I. However, it should be ensured that candidates maintain Good APARs of last 04 years and unblemished service record of entire service.

Stage-II: Written Examination(OMR) based: There will be one question paper of objective type multiple choice questions consisting of 200 marks with 3.5 hours duration to assess candidates in the following subjects on OMR system:-

1. General Intelligence and reasoning - 50 Marks

2. Comprehension and communication skill - 50 Marks

3. Numerical ability - 50 Marks

4. General Awareness and professional knowledge - 50

Marks Total = 200 Marks

"For qualification/selection, a candidate shall secure atleast 45% marks in each part & 50% in aggregate. Relaxation of 5% marks will be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories".

Stage-III: Physical Measurements: As applicable to SI direct entry candidates. The minimum physical requirements for the candidates are mentioned above. No relaxation will be given in case a candidate has been appointed in lower rank with the relaxed standard; such candidate will not be eligible to appear in the Suh-Inspector (GD) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination.

Stage- IV: Physical Efficiency Test - It will be of qualifying nature consisting of the following items:-

Stage-V: Medical Examination: The Detailed medical examination of those candidates who come out successful in the written, PST & PET will be conducted, as per existing guidelines of the provision. Each candidate will be declared either 'Fit' or 'Unfit', and no one will be categorized "temporarily unfit".

How to apply - 

1) Candidates need to download the application form from the official website of BSF or from the notification link given below.

2) The application of each individual duly filled in and supported with all required copies of certificates should reach the concerned Centre.

3) Covers containing the application must be superscribed in bold letters "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF SUB INSPECTOR (GD) THROUGH LIMITED DEPARTMENTAL COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION-2018-19, and Centre of examination with Centre code.

4) Candidates should apply through the concerned units/HQrs in which they are posted along with all required certificates as mentioned below:-

(i) Application form and Admission card duly filled in or duly typed on a full-scale paper.

(ii) Two passport size photographs in uniform are required. One each to be pasted on application form and admission card duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.

(iii) Attested copies of certificates/testimonials as proof of educational qualification and date of birth i.e. matriculation, 10+2 and Graduation degree or provisional degree certificate with year wise all mark sheets.

(iv) SC/ST candidates should furnish attested copy of caste certificate in prescribed format issued by Revenue Officer, not below the rank of Tehsildar. Otherwise, their claim for SC/ST status will not be entertained and their candidature/applications will be considered under General(UR) category.

(v) Copy of certificate in support of the claim for relaxation in physical standards, if any.

(vi) An undertaking from the candidate that he is willing to resign from the present post in case he is selected for the applied post as per proforma attached.

(vii) Service Certificate, as per proforma attached, to be signed by Head of Office / Appointing Authority.

(viii) Application in respect of following candidates will not be forwarded who have:

a) Not completed 4 years of continuous service as CT(GD), HC(GD) ASI(GD) or Tradesmen including basic training as on the last date of receipt of application.

b) Not having the clean record of entire service.

c) Low medical category.

d) Less in education.

e) Already availed three chances in this examination.

f) A candidate appointed in lower rank with a relaxed standard, prescribed for CT(GD).

5) Correspondence with the examination Centre:- Candidate will not enter into any correspondence with the ·examination centre about their candidature except when there is a change in the address. No result will be supplied to candidates and no correspondence will be entertained by the examination centre. All communications with the examination centre should contain the following particulars:-

(i) Regt. No., Rank, Name.

(ii) Application Registration No./Roll No. if allotted.

(iii) Centre as per application.

(iv) Address as per application.

(v) Category to which the applicant belongs.

6) Declaration of Result - Result will be prepared centrally and intimated to all concerned centres by Pers Dte (Rectt Section) for wide publicity and information of candidates. The result will also be published on BSF Website i.e and /PP General Download.
