About APPSC - The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is the state agency authorized by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to conduct the Civil Services Examination for entry-level appointments to the various Civil Services of Arunachal Pradesh and to advise the government on civil service matters. A candidate must possess a Bachelor of Library Science from a recognized University
Selection will be done on the basis of written competitive examination followed by the Interview.
Candidates who are declared to have qualified by the Commission in the written competitive examination will have to produce original certificates or mark-sheets of passing their degree examination issued by the Assistant Registrar/Registrar/Controller of Examination/Vice-chancellor of the concerned university on or before the date of Interview/viva-voce.
Written Test - Written Examination will be of 400 marks and Interview will be of 50 marks and the Questions are form the following subjects -
(i) General English = 100 marks
(ii) General Knowledge = 100 marks
(iii) Library& Information Sc.(Paper-I) = 100 marks
(iv) Library& Information Sc.(Paper-Il) 100 marks
(v) Viva-Voce Test - 50 marks
The candidates who secure a minimum of 33% or more marks in each written examination paper and 45% or more marks out of aggregate total marks in the written examination papers shall be eligible for the viva-voce test.
How to apply
Application Fees - Rs. 150/- only for APST candidates.
Modes of Payment - Offline Mode - Demand Draft/IPO in favour of the Secretary Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, Itanagar.
How to Apply - Along with the duly filled-up format, candidates must enclose the following documents -
(i) Self-attested copy of Matriculation Certificate for Proof of Age issued by the Board/University only will be accepted.
(ii) Self-attested copies of Certificates and Marksheets of Bachelor Degree issued by the Assistant Registrar/Registrar/Controller of Examination/Vice-Chancellor of the concerned University to ascertain educational qualification.
(iii) 2(two) copies of recent passport size photographs self-attested in the front side of which one should be pasted on the space provided in the application form and another on the Attendance Sheet.
(iv) Self-attested copy of Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate.
(v) No Objection Certificate/Intimation letter in case of candidates already in service.
(vi) Copy of Demand Draft/IPO (For those application form other than obtained from Commission's Office).
Application in the prescribed form along with necessary documents should be submitted in the Reception counter in a cover/envelope superscribed, "Application for the post of District Library & Information Officer" and obtain the receipt from the counter to ensure his/her submission of application form. The Application should be addressed to Secretary, APPSC Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
